Description	:	"Death of Mrs.James Cromwell" Death came to Mrs. James Cromwell at her home in Geneva, Neb. January 1,1942, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 11 days. She had been in ill health for sometime. She was born at Mason City, Ill. At the age of six, her family moved to Fillmore county, Nebraska. January 1,1942, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 11 days. She had been in ill health for sometime. She was born at Mason City, Ill. At the age of six, her family moved to Fillmore county, Nebraska. Here she grew to young womanhood, enduring many of the hardships of early pioneer life. In 1897 she became the wife of James Cromwell. To this union were born ten children, six daughters and four sons, all of whom are living excpt Dorthea, who died in infancy. Mrs Cromwell was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ early in life. She joined the United Brethren church in 1917, and continued a faithful member. About a year ago her health began to fail. She never fully recovered, but her death was sudden and unexpected. She was alyways a patient sufferer. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family, and a kind friend to all. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, James Cromwell, nine children, Mrs. Albert Marsh of O'Neil, Neb., Mrs. Harold McMahan of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Leo Ayres of Astoria, Ore. John Cromwell of Narka, Kas., Vern Cromwell of Geneva, Mrs. Ora Wells of Santa Barbara, Cal., Mrs. Louis Bunge of Bland, Mo., and George and Orville at home; also seventeen grandchildren, a great-grandchild and one brother, Manny Kiester of Denver, Col. Two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral servic3es were held Sunday afternoon, January 4, at 1:45 p.m. from the Hrubesky funeral home. Rev. Glenn Cain, pastor of the United Brethren church, officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal Jan. 8, 1942 page 1. Estimated DOB is July 21, 1880
