She attended Midland College and taught in the school districts of #35 and #18. She also did substitute teaching in the Scribner Schools and rural districts. Lillian married Burnell Nelson on May 19, 1946. They owned and operated a car and implement business in Scribner. She was a past member and officer of the church's woman's society and altar guild. She was a member and past officer of the Scribner American Legion Auxiliary #121. She was active in community work having served on the election board for many years. She belonged to an Extension Club and also served on the city library board. She was also a den mother for a Cub Scout troop. Survivors: 2 Sons - Robert and wife Cheryl Nelson of Elkhorn Kevin and wife Faye Nelson of Omaha 4 grandchildren Lillian was preceded in death by her husband in 2007 and 2 sisters.
