Morrison, 63, wife of a Carroll physician, died at 4:20 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. Anthony Hospital after an eight-month illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ernest F. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Twit Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday, at which time the casket will be moved to the church for viewing until the hour of the rites. Mrs. Morrison... Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Sheila) Burmeister of Davenport and Mrs. Gilbert (Mary) Johnson of Carroll; four grandchildren, Kelly Beenken and Greg Johnson of Carroll, Mike and Mary Burmeister of Davenport; and two brothers, Andrew Smith of Glenview, Illiniois, and Bill Smith of Chicago. A sister, Florence Leiher, preceded her in death. The former Lillian M. Smith Parrott, she was born Dec. 14, 1907, in Chicago, a daughter of Adam and Ann Johnston Smith. She graduated from high school and business school in Chicago, where her marriage to Dr. Morrison took place Feb. 10, 1934. They came to Carroll in 1934 and for many years Mrs. Morrison worked as an accountant in the doctor's office. The Morrison home is at 1806 Quint Avenue. Mrs. Morrison was a member of First United Methodist Church and of Signet Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star. She had been active in many community, school and church affairs and for several years served as chairman of the local Red Cross Blood Bank program. The family suggests that friends desiring to make memorial contributions may designate them to the St. Anthony Hospital Development Fund.
