Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 7th at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. Officiating was the Rev. Jeff Schirle. Burial was at the Groton Union Cemetery, Groton. Lillian was born on August 6, 1904 to Albert and Louise (Reinhardt) Naus in rural Ferney. She was raised and educated in Groton where she graduated with the Class of 1924. She went to work for the phone company in Groton working as an operator until the phone company went to the dial system. She then moved to Aberdeen where she worked for J. C. Penney and Feinstein Department Stores for a number of years. She married William Gallaugher on January 21, 1958 and the couple lived in Groton throughout their married life. Lillian entered into Beverly Healthcare Center in 1988. William passed away in April of 1991. Lillian continued to make her home at the Healthcare Center until the time of her death. Lillian was an active member of the Groton Presbyterian Church and United Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery. She is survived by one nephew, Raymond Reinhardt of Stillwater, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.
