Lillian was born January 24, 1916 on the family farm near northeast of Wisner, NE to Julius and Barbara (Oswald) Nitzsche. She was baptized at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church, rural Beemer, NE. Lillian attended Cuming County Rural School District #39 and Beemer High School. On June 12, 1938 she was united in marriage to Leonard Erb at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church. The couple lived at West Point, where Lillian helped her husband at their business Erb Electric and Appliance. After her husband's death in February of 2003, she moved to the Colonial Courts Assisted Living in Beemer and in January of this year entered Colonial Haven Nursing Home. Lillian was a member of the Beemer Mennonite Church. Survivors include- Children and their families- Barbara and husband Ronald Wyse of Mt. Pleasant, IA and family; Ronald and wife Susan Wyse and children Stephanie & Sierra; Connie and husband Dennis Berkey and children Jessica, Jordan, Jared & Jacob; Mary and husband Joe Detweiler of Newton, KS and family; Dr. Doyle and wife Paula Detweiler and children Lilly & Hannah; Monica and husband Stephan Cavanaugh and children Alex & Morgan; Rachelle Detweiler; Doug and wife Mary Erb of West Point, NE and family; Gina and husband Jim Mestl and children Paige, Benjamin & Elizabeth; David and wife Jennifer Erb and daughter Madeline; Jon and wife Kelly Erb and daughter Corryn; Dorothy and husband Larry Suhr of West Point, NE and daughter LeAnn Suhr; Lenny and wife Julie Erb and children; Laura Erb; Phillip Erb. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson in infancy, one great grandchild in infancy, four brothers-Dan, Albert, Art Sr., & Elmer Nitzsche, and four sisters- Emma Birky, Anna Egli, Bertha Nitzsche and Clara Roth.
