Born in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Loamma A. and Clara Lominick Ruff. Lillian graduated from Newberry College and taught 35 years in public schools including Stoney Hill, Little Mountain, and Irmo. Mrs. Younginer grew up in the St. Philip's community and had been a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church and Union United Methodist Church and had been presently a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in West Columbia. She is... Read More	WEST COLUMBIA - Mrs. Lillian Ruff Younginer, 90, wife of the late Herbert E. Younginer, died Monday, March 3, 2008, in Still Hopes Episcopal Home. Born in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Loamma A. and Clara Lominick Ruff. Lillian graduated from Newberry College and taught 35 years in public schools including Stoney Hill, Little Mountain, and Irmo. Mrs. Younginer grew up in the St. Philip's community and had been a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church and Union United Methodist Church and had been presently a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in West Columbia. She is survived by a brother, Walter E. "Jack" Ruff (Ruth) of Prosperity and sister, Clara R. Gregory of West Columbia; nieces and nephews, Jackie Eargle, Walter E. "Bo" Ruff, Jr., Mary Mills, Henry L. "Tugg" Ruff, all of Prosperity and Sallie Loftis and William R. Gregory of West Columbia. She was predeceased by brothers, John David Ruff and Wilbur A. Ruff. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church with interment to follow in Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1500 Sunset Blvd., West columbia, SC 29169.
