Early in life she moved with her parents to Johnson County, Nebraska, settling on a homestead, located six miles south of Sterling. She was united in marriage with Fred D. Stinson, April 1st, 1883. Early in life she moved with her parents to Johnson County, Nebraska, settling on a homestead, located six miles south of Sterling. She was united in marriage with Fred D. Stinson, April 1st, 1883. They made their home in Sterling. To this union, four children were born, two of whom died in early life, and two remain to mourn over the passing of their mother. The two who remain are Mrs. Nellie Pearson and Mr. Raymond Stinson, who reside with their families in Sterling. Beside the husband and two children, five sisters and two brothers. The brothers and sisters are Mrs. Minnie Jackson of Iola, Kansas, Mrs. Jennie Dollarhide of Auburn, Nebraska, Mrs. Dora Luce, Tecumseh, Nebraska, Mrs. Sadie Corrigan, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Mrs. Bertha Oldfield, Tecumseh, Nebraska, Mr. Roy Otis of Tecumseh, Nebraska, and Mr. James Otis. Mrs. Stinson was a good wife, a good mother, and a loving helpful friend. She united with the Sterling Methodist church April 5th 1931. Mrs. Stinson's sickness was of quite lengthy duration, having suffered a great deal of the time for almost a year. The community deeply sympathizes with the family in their loss. Services were conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. Miller, Sunday, Oct. 25th, at 2 p.m. Burial in the Sterling Cemetery.
