Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Pallbearers will be Art Padgett, Charles Livingston, Charley Whisenhunt, Daryl Cate, and Wayne Heape. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 19, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Minister James D. Grice Jr. officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bert Gue and Dr. Lawton Salley. Mrs. Shealey was born June 14, 1929, in North, a daughter of the late Josiah Collins and the late Annie Godwin Collins. She was a charter member of Garden City Baptist Church and a member of the V. F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 2779. She was retired from The Regional Medical Center and Azalea Meats. She was the widow of O'Neal Hill. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dovie Witt, Verna Collins, and Ethel Harding; and three brothers, Harold Collins, Marvin Redmond, and Joseph Godwin. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Kaye Hill of Cope; and a special daughter, Laura L. Nichols of Cope; two sisters and brother-in-law, Nell and Cliff Ervin of North, and Arline Black of Wauchula, Fla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Betty Jean Redmond of North, Horace and Joyce Collins of Norway, and James and Cecil Godwin of Charlotte, NC; special grandchildren, Karrie Thurston, Frank Hodge, Chris Nichols, Aubrey Gholson, Taylor Thurston, all of Cope, Joseph and Deidra Nelson and Trace and Madison McLaughlin, all of Bowman; a number of nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, John Matolek of Bowman; and two special companions, Squirt and Kitty. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 18, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Friends may call at the residence, in Cope and at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of T.R.M.C., 1324 Hutto St., Orangeburg, SC 29118.
