Gracey Goodrich, was born at Barron, Wisconsin, April 21, 1881 and departed this life at the Clarke county hospital in Osceola, Iowa, August 3, 1958, at the age of 77 years. She received her formal education in the Clarke and Madison county public schools. On November 12, 1902 she was united in marriage to James Walter Loomis, at Osceola, Iowa. To this union three children were born. Her entire married life was spent in Clarke and Madison counties except for five years spent in Nebraska. Several years ago she accepted Christ, during special evangelistic services, and united with the Methodist church. During these years she steadfastly kept the faith. Those surviving are two sons, Lloyd of Osceola, Iowa, and Cecil of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Mabel (Mrs. Don Winnett) of Dedham; four brothers, Harry Goodrich of Superior, Nebraska, Elmer Goodrich of Murray, Iowa, Ray Goodrich and Frank Goodrich of Osceola, Iowa; five grandchildren, six greatchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband James, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Aug 6, in the Webster Funeral home with Rev. Azel L. Smith officiating. Music was by Amy Ruth Harlan and Emil Rinderspacher. Burial was in the Fields cemetery in Clarke county and the pallbearers were: Junior Goodrich. Don Goodrich, Frank Goodrich, Gail Goodrich, Carl Goodrich and Jim Goodrich. New Virginia.
