Miss Lillie Mutschelknaus, Aberdeen's oldest citizen, at the time of her death, dies at Hospital. Miss Mutschelknaus died at 8:10 a.m. at Hayswood Hospital. In 25 years she never missed reciting Lincoln's Gettysburg Address at each Memorial Day program in the Charter Oak Cemetary. She lived with her unmarried brother John Mutschelknaus and was known to appear on WFTM (maysville's local radio station) every March 10th (her birthday of course) to recite her poetry. She was a member of Aberdeen Methodist Church for 79 years and once held a 40 year unbroken attendance record at Sunday School. She graduated from Aberdeen High School as the only member of the class of 1887 and since that year has never missed a commencement excercise. She was born in the same bed in the same log house in Aberdeen where each of her 5 brother's and sister's were born. The bed and house were lost in the 1937 flood.
