There will be a family prayer service in the church Wednesday preceding the services. There will be visitation in the Rush Funeral Home at Wall Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Mrs. Kitterman was born July 6,1902, at Gilead, Neb., to W.A. "Bert" and Valesta (Komrs) Huffman. In 1910, the family moved to a homestead three miles west of Clark and she attended a country school and graduated from Clark High School. She received a teaching certificate from General Beadle College at Madison and taught in Clark, Pennington and Edmunds counties. She married Benjamin Wade Kitterman April 7,1935, at Clark. The couple farmed north of Wall until Mr. Kitterman's death in 1943. Mrs. Kitterman moved back to Clark and worked at the Adam's Hotel and Harry's Cafe. She returned to summer school at Northern State College at Aberdeen in 1954 and renewed her teaching certificate. She taught in various schools in Clark County until retiring when reorganization took place. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Kitterman has been a resident of nursing homes at Clark, Estelline and Watertown. She is survived by a son, Frank of Watertown; a daughter, Mrs. (Arlan) Karen Koehn of Brookings; two sisters, Bessie Berry of Rivera, AZ and Frances Huff of Yucca Valley, CA; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
