Casket bearers were: Tom Bowman, Victor; Cecil, Howard and Kevin Collingwood; Williamsburg; Gene Collingwood, Blairstown; Gordon Teggatz, Cedar Rapids. Linda Irene Collingwood was born, Nov. 16, 1945 on a farm near Marengo, in Iowa County, the daughter of Mervin L. and Ruth Messer Collingwood. She was baptized Mar. 31, 1946 and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church, Millersburg, May 31, 1959. She began attending the Millersburg school and after reorganization of the school districts went to the Williamsburg schools. A 1963 graduate of the Williamsburg community high school she earned a degree from the University of Iowa college of nursing, Iowa City, in 1967. Until 1968 she worked as a nurse in St. Louis, MO. Her marriage to Thomas G. Bowman took place Sept. 7, 1968 at the Trinity Lutheran church, Millersburg. Until 1970 they lived in Washington D.C. At that time, they moved to Canada, where they lived at Hamilton, Montreal and for the past three years at Chatham. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church at the time of her death. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Danielle, at home; her mother, Mrs. Mervin L. Collingwood, Williamsburg; and two brothers, Merle Collingwood, Decatur, IL., and Clark, Wilson, M.C. She was preceded in death by a sister Maxine Collingwood Doty, Dec. 5, 1965 and her father Dec. 26, 1973.
