Description	:	Linda Kay Backhus passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. A native of North Carlina, she made her home in several states before landing in Virginia for the last 20 years. She was a woman of strong faith and was member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Gammi”. She loved making friends and making lifelong relationships, and loved to spend quality time with family especially during the holidays. Read More	Linda Kay Backhus passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. A native of North Carlina, she made her home in several states before landing in Virginia for the last 20 years. She was a woman of strong faith and was member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Gammi”. She loved making friends and making lifelong relationships, and loved to spend quality time with family especially during the holidays. She also loved shopping for shoes, Facebooking, walking, gardening, was an avid party planner and many times was the life of the party. Her laugh and southern twang will never fade. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Keith Backhus, and her parents Floyd and Ila Bell Jones. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mark grandchildren Abby and Quin; sisters Elizabeth and Janice ; brother Jimmie ; her loving husband’s siblings and spouses; and many special cousins, friends and neighbors that were loved like family. She had a love for her pets, Jingles, Barney, Cisco and her beloved fish. Linda was a genuinely loving and giving person who will be missed by all who loved her.
