She died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-four. Linda was born in Cherokee, Iowa, where she lived until moving with her family to Denison, Iowa, in 1956. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in 1966. She was united... Read More	Linda Brodersen was born to July 27, 1949 the daughter of Raymond and Verla Sump Kluender. She died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-four. Linda was born in Cherokee, Iowa, where she lived until moving with her family to Denison, Iowa, in 1956. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in 1966. She received her education in the Denison Community Schools and graduated from the Denison Community High School with class of 1967. Linda was a Drum Majorette through her high school years. She was united in marriage to Larry Brodersen, March 29, 1969 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. The couple made their home on a farm near Charter Oak and were blessed with the birth of two sons. She worked at the Denison High School as a librarian for a short time. After her marriage she worked in the kitchen at Eventide for a few years and Alco for several years. She retired in 2012, after working for 20 years as a Department Manager at Wal-Mart. Linda was a excellent seamstress. She made a lot of her own clothes and won the Best in Show contest at the Crawford County Fair. She was a 4-H leader for eleven years at the Charter Oak Boosters, and took great pride in seeing the kids excel with their projects. She was also a very good cook, enjoyed gardening, canning and working in the yard. In her leisure time she enjoyed camping at Yellowsmoke Park. During her retirement she enjoyed just being at home, watching her favorite television programs especially "Days of Our Lives"and spending time with her grandchildren. In the spring of 2009, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She put up a good fight and never wanted to give up. Linda is preceded in death by her father Raymond Kluender; mother and father in-law Eldon and Muriel Brodersen. Survivors include: her husband Larry; two sons Aaron and his wife, Tani; Brian and his wife, Bonnie ; four grandchildren: Carter, Cambri, Garrett and Tayla; her mother Verla; four brothers: Ronald and his wife, Judy; Troy and his wife, Kris; Kyle and his wife, Michelle; Karl and his wife, Pamela; other relatives and friends
