She was the daughter of: Leonard and Alice (Marvin) Caven, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Linda married Jim Dawson on March 20, 1961 in Morrison, Illinois they were married for 29 years. Linda worked as a home health aide. She enjoyed gardening, riding her bike, she enjoyed the casino, and most of all she truly loved her grandchildren. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her daughter: Monica (Dirk) Rich of Kalona, Iowa; her son: Bruce (Ana) Dawson of Pella, Iowa; her granddaughter: Bryana Dawson of Pella, Iowa; her four grandsons: Bryce and Devon Dawson of Pella, Iowa; Jared (Becca) Droll of Wellman, Iowa and Derek Rich of Kalona,Iowa. Her six sisters: Iona Brewer of Clinton, Iowa; Betty Sear of Clinton, Iowa; Carol (Calvin) Neymeyer of Clinton, Iowa; Patricia (John) Bahnsen of Clinton, Iowa; Nancy Meyer of Clinton, Iowa and Mary (Jim) Clary of Clinton, Iowa. Her two brothers: Garold (Cathy) Caven of Clinton, Iowa and Bob Caven of Clinton, Iowa. Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, nephew: Donnie Brewer, great nephew: Mitch Brewer, Brother-in-laws: Lou Sear and Elmer Brewer. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday; July 19, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday; July 20, 2010 at the Lemke Funeral Home's South Chapel in Clinton, Iowa. Interment will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery also in Clinton, Iowa. Memorials can be made to Iowa City Hospice. On Line condolences can be made at www.lemkefuneral.com. The Lemke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
