Description	:	FRANCISCO, NC ~ Mrs. Linda Leigh Shelton Martin, 58, widow of Richard William Martin, of NC Highway 89 West passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at NC Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born May 16, 1942, in Stokes County to the late Bruno Elmer and Mabel Francis Shelton. She was a teaching assistant with Stokes County school system and a member of Francisco Presbyterian Church. She was born May 16, 1942, in Stokes County to the late Bruno Elmer and Mabel Francis Shelton. She was a teaching assistant with Stokes County school system and a member of Francisco Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son, Chris Martin of the home; and a brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Frances Shelton of Advance. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Francisco Presbyterian Church, by Dr. Charles Howell, the Rev. Jesse Bledsoe and the Rev. Rickey Rogers. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Martin will lie in state at the church for 30 minutes prior to the services. The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, March 28, 2001, from 7 to 9. Memorials may be made to Francisco Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Betty Wright, 1040 Wright Farm Road, Westfield, NC 27053.
