She was born October 16, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to Alvin Gros and Johnnie Bell Kinnison. Linda was married to Rick Egr on July 29, 1972. Throughout her career, Linda worked at Miller & Paine; Lincoln Airport; Valparaiso Elementary School; and retired from UNL Dining Services. She also cared for and watched several neighborhood children in Valparaiso who always held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed gardening; sewing; baking;... Read More	Linda Marie Egr, age 72, formally of Valparaiso, passed away in Lincoln on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to Alvin Gros and Johnnie Bell Kinnison. Linda was married to Rick Egr on July 29, 1972. Throughout her career, Linda worked at Miller & Paine; Lincoln Airport; Valparaiso Elementary School; and retired from UNL Dining Services. She also cared for and watched several neighborhood children in Valparaiso who always held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed gardening; sewing; baking; Sunday dinners at her house with her children and grandchildren and telling them about the different types of birds that gathered in her beautiful backyard. She also looked forward to her Monday coffee club with her siblings and friends. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lynette (Rodney) Elder, Kara (Kendall) Stege; sisters, Barb Jacobsen, Judy Long; brother Kenny (Gloria) Hartshorn; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Sue and Ken Horky, Kenny Draper; grandchildren, Zach, Abbie, Kyla, Avery, Addie, Emery; many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and beloved pets, Toby and Molly. Linda was preceded in death by husband, Rick Egr; son, David; parents, Alvin Gros and Johnnie Kinnison; sister, Ellen Hier; brother-in-law Bob Jacobsen; sister-in-law Pat Draper.
