Linda Sue Parmley was the daughter of Vursel and Cecil Messer Parmley. She lived in Grinnell and later moved with her family to Gilman in 1953. She was a 1968 graduate of Gilman High School. Following her education she lived in Brooklyn and worked for Manatt's Inc. for several years. In 1977, she returned to Gilman and began her career, a span of 37 years, at the Citizens Savings Bank where she was employed as a teller and various other positions within the bank. She was a devoted employee and considered a joy to work with. Linda was very passionate about animals and enjoyed helping others, she was a Good Samaritan! She held a love for music, particularly the Beatles and enjoyed reading and watching movies. She was very artistic and enjoyed making jewelry and showing her work at arts and crafts fairs.
