Description	:	Linwood M. Hites, of Edgewood and Tacoma, passed away at his home on Nov. 13, 1997 of cancer. He was 70 years old. Linn was born in Allison, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII before meeting his wife, Helen. Together they owned L&H Construction, of which Linn was a contractor for Washington Natural Gas before retiring in 1983. In retirement he and Helen enjoyed RV travel and spent many winters in Arizona. He was a grandfather to 11 grandchildren and preceded in death by granddaughter, Monica DeWitt. Linn is also survived by a large extended family and many friends. Viewing will be Sunday, 3:00-5:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup, Monday, Nov. 17, 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Francis House or the American Cancer Society.
