Born in Legerville, St. Paul, NB, he was a son of the late Jude and Edna (LeBlanc) Leger. Lionel was a veteran of World War II. Dumont Hospital on April 8, 2016. Born in Legerville, St. Paul, NB, he was a son of the late Jude and Edna (LeBlanc) Leger. Lionel was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a welder for many years, retiring after a long career with Apex. Lionel was a long-time member of Notre Dame de Grace Church and also a proud member of the Legion. Lionel is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorice (Gaudet); sons, Fernand, Louis (Lyda) and Omer; daughters, Felice (Barry), Annette (Bill) and Caroline; four grandsons; four granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Alfred (Marie). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Edmée, Aquila, Dorilla, Yvon, Maximin and Marie. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame de Grace Church, 854 Mountain Rd, Moncton, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Paul Church Cemetery, St. Paul de Kent, NB. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of 3E and 3C at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital for their excellent care. Memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association or to a charity of choice.
