Lisetta was born on August. 31, 1912, in Hoskins, the daughter of Gustav and Minnie (Deck) Marotz. She was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins. Gutzmann, age 100 years, 6 months, 7 days, of Norfolk, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk. Lisetta was born on August. 31, 1912, in Hoskins, the daughter of Gustav and Minnie (Deck) Marotz. She was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins. She earned her teaching certificate from Wayne Normal School and taught two years in the Wayne County rural school system. On Oct. 3, 1932, Lisetta was united in marriage with Mr. Walter A. Gutzmann. They farmed for several years before she and Walt managed the Hoskins Credit Association in Hoskins from 1938-1941. They moved to Norfolk in 1944 when Walt opened the Walt Gutzmann Real Estate Agency, which dealt in real estate, insurance and farm management. She and Walt also developed the Lakeview Drive residential area just south of Norfolk. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Lisetta organized the family gatherings where they would play cards and work on crossword puzzles. She enjoyed cooking and crocheted many blankets for her family and friends. Lisetta is survived by: …three daughters, ……Jeannine Amundson of Norfolk, ……Fauneil and Tony Smith of Manteca, California, and ……Marleen and Carlton Gordon of Port Charlotte, Florida, …seven grandchildren and …14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: …her husband in 1993, …one grandson, David Hayward, and …one brother, Lyle Marotz. Visitation for family and friends of Mrs. Gutzmann was held from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Home for Funerals. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend James Westendorf officiated. Burial followed Prospect Hill Cemetery.
