She leaves father and mother, two brothers and four sisters, her companion Mr. Irv Austin, and a little three year old son to mourn her loss. As it was the first death in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Winters, it seems to them more than they can bear, but death must soon come to us all. Let us all be ready when it comes. There was such a large gathering, that all the people could not all get in the house and some had to stand in the rain. Mr. Winters and family have many friends to share with them in their bereavement. May the blessings of God rest upon them, and upon us all, and may we so live that at last we may enjoy eternal life at God's right hand, is my prayer. James C. Wright Galesburg: Mrs. Electa Austin died at her home in Galesburg, October 14. Rev. Wright conducted the funeral services from the M.E. Church Sunday. Mrs. Austin was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Winters. She leaves a husband [Irv]and a little son [Zora], father and mother, four sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss. Family lore: I have heard that she died in childbirth but have not been able to verify the truth of this story.
