The deceased had been a victim of influenza and to all appearances was getting along nicely, had been up a few days, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs.Waterman, who had been caring for her had returned to their home Sunday morning to Wadena. Mrs. Voshell at a very hearty dinner but soon afterward complained of not feeling so well and in less than 30 minutes was dead. She leaves besides her husband three small children besides several brothers. The funeral will be held Tuesday. The entire community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband. Arlington News 30 Jan 1919 Mrs. Sherman Voshell Lizzie Ann Voshell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waterman, was born in Wadena, Iowa, March 15, 1887, and died suddenly at her home in Arlington, Sunday, January 26, 1919; aged 31 years, 9 months, and 11 days. She spent the early part of her life in Wadena. In 1895 she united with the United Bretheren Church of the Wadena-Arlington pastoral charge. September 11, 1914 (sic) she was married to Sherman Voshell and since that tine has made her home in Arlington. She leaves by her early departure, her bereaved husband, her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Waterman of Wadena; three children, and three brothers: George Waterman of Arlington, and Elmer C. Waterman and L.T. Waterman, both of Wadena, Iowa, as well as many other relatives and friends. The passing of this good mother has saddened the hearts of all; she leaves three young children who will sorely miss her tender love and care. She was ever kind and thoughtful of those about her, and will not only be missed by her family and loved one but by all who knew her. Short services were conducted at the home Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. J.B. Ackman of the M.E. Church, and interment made in the Wadena Cemetery.
