Henry Held officiating. Mrs. John Evers was the organist. Mrs. Harlan Buffum and Mrs. Don Meyer sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Heaven is My Home". Lizzie Anna Wiedemann, daughter of Wm. Henry Held officiating. Mrs. John Evers was the organist. Mrs. Harlan Buffum and Mrs. Don Meyer sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Heaven is My Home". Lizzie Anna Wiedemann, daughter of Wm. Bendixen and his wife Irene (Mundt) was born August 23, 1888 at Tipton Sweet Water, Wyoming and passed away at the Eventide Home in Denison July 18, 1973, following a three-month illness. She attained the age of 84 years, 10 months and 25 days. When a small child, she moved with her parents to the Schleswig community where she has since resided. She was united in marriage to John W. Wiedemann on March 29, 1911 and to this union five daughters were born. She was a long and faithful member of the United Church of Christ and of the Women's Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Wiedemann, who died in 1966, a daughter, Lavina, one sister Hilda Burk and two brothers Emil and Harvey. Surviving are her daughters, Elvera Brus, Denison; Milda Schiernbeck, Kiron; Ardene Deyo, Denver, Colorado; and LaJune Obrecht, Schleswig; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ella Albertsen, Mapleton; Josie Jorgensen, Spirit Lake; Wanda Bendixen, Mapleton and Viola Henriksen, Cushing; one brother Mag Bendixen of Des Moines; many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were: Verdell Brus, Keith Obrecht, Dale Schiernbeck, Howard Henningsen, John Knudsen and Martin Magill. Interment was in Morgan Cemetery.
