Description	:	Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. J. Peter Jepsen, who died Saturday evening, October 18th, 1947 at the home of her son, Harley and family in Ida Grove. Services were held at the Jepsen home in Ida Grove and at Friedens church in Schleswig. Rev. A.f. Rinne, pastor of the church was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Morgan Cemetery. Services were held at the Jepsen home in Ida Grove and at Friedens church in Schleswig. Rev. A.f. Rinne, pastor of the church was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Morgan Cemetery. Lizzie Naeve, daughter of William Naeve and Mary nee Schnieder, was born on the old Naeve Homestead one mile east of Schleswig, July 27, 1878; and at the time of her death attained the age of 69 years, 2 months and 21 days. She was one of the first children to be born in this community and spent her entire life in and near Schleswig. On February 28, 1900, she was united in marriage to J. Peter Jepsen. Two sons and one daughter were born to this union. Mr. and Mrs. Jepsen started farming on the Naeve Homestead and remained there until 1920, when they moved to their home in the east part of Schleswig whre they resided until last July when Mrs. Jepsen's health became such that she needed constant care. They then moved to Ida Grove and she was cared for in the home of their son, Harley. She was a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her parents and two sisters, Kate Naeve and Elfrieda, Mrs Henry Jensen and one brother Emil preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband and three children: Walter Jepsen of Knierim, Iowa; Harley Jepsen of Ida Grove and Alice, Mrs.(Alice) Harvey Jensen of Denison; fourteen grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
