Description	:	Lloyd Benjamin Rosendahl, 89, of Oakes, ND passed away on September 22, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Oakes. Lloyd Rosendahl, son of Hano and Lempi (West) Rosendahl was born on August 26, 1931 at Hecla, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm West of Hecla, where he farmed with his father, Hano. Lloyd Rosendahl, son of Hano and Lempi (West) Rosendahl was born on August 26, 1931 at Hecla, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm West of Hecla, where he farmed with his father, Hano. Lloyd was united in marriage to Elvira Opp on July 3, 1952 at Aberdeen, South Dakota. They farmed until 1956 when Lloyd, Elvira and son, Denis moved to Anaheim, California. In Anaheim, Lloyd was employed for 14 years as a foreman at Standard Press Steel, a company that manufactured aircraft bolts. In 1970, Lloyd, Elvira, and their four boys moved back to Hecla when they bought the family farm and milked dairy cattle. They resided on the farm until 1992 when they moved into Hecla. In 2013, they moved to Oakes, North Dakota. Lloyd was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hecla. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and woodworking. He is survived by his four sons, Denis (Sandra) Rosendahl, Bismarck, ND, David (Laura) Rosendahl, Upperco Maryland, Dana (Dorothy) Rosendahl, Oakes, ND, and Dale (Susan) Rosendahl, Hecla, SD; eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, William (Doris) Rosendahl, Comfort, Texas; his sister, Judith Miller, Eden Prairie, MN; brother-in-law, Rollie Henkes of Monona, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
