Lloyd was born November 9, 1922 in the rural Cedar Rapids, Iowa area, the son of Walter C. Williams and Gaylene Leidigh Williams. He was a graduate of Toddville High School. Read More	Lloyd Clair “Grumpy” Williams, 94, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Life Care Center of Carrollton, under the care of his family and Compassus Hospice. Lloyd was born November 9, 1922 in the rural Cedar Rapids, Iowa area, the son of Walter C. Williams and Gaylene Leidigh Williams. He was a graduate of Toddville High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from January 1945 until august 1946. He was a transportation corporal and served in Japan and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. On March 5, 1959, Lloyd married Wilma Faye McBurney in Toddville. She preceded him in death on April 21, 1994. Lloyd was a life-long farmer in Iowa and the Avalon and Chillicothe, MO areas. He attended the Chillicothe Free Methodist Church and was a Past Commander of the Toddville American Legion and a member of American Legion Post #25 of Chillicothe; he was Sunday School Superintendent of Greens Grove Community Church in rural Center Point, IA. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking and building furniture, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Lloyd is survived by his step-daughter Patricia Campbell of Chillicothe; 3 grandsons, Vince Campbell (Rachelle), Derek Campbell (Teresa), and Monty Campbell (Kerrie) all of Chillicothe; 8 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Virginia McBurney of Searcy AK. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Wilma. Burial will be at Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville, IA, at a later date.
