Lloyd Clement Grogan was born Feb.28, 1911, in Lake County to John J. and Gertrude (Sage) Grogan. He moved to Hand County with his family as a child. He attended Kelly School in York Township, Hand County, and St. Lawrence High School. He worked as a field man and insurance adjustor for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Read More	Lloyd Grogan February 28, 1911 - March 2, 1994 Lloyd C. Grogan, 83, of Wessington, SD died Wednesday, March 2,1994, at his home. Lloyd Clement Grogan was born Feb.28, 1911, in Lake County to John J. and Gertrude (Sage) Grogan. He moved to Hand County with his family as a child. He attended Kelly School in York Township, Hand County, and St. Lawrence High School. He worked as a field man and insurance adjustor for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He also played basketball and baseball on independent teams as a young man. In 1945 he married Lola Winegar at Miller. Their marriage later ended in divorce. He owned and operated Grogan's Bar in Wessington for many years. He was a member of the Wessington Senior Center. Survivors include one son, Craig of Redfield; one sister, Mrs. Bud (Joyce) McElrath of Escondido, California; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Marc: two brothers, Frank and Perry; and two sisters, Winifred and Alice. - - - Funeral Mass: Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wessington. Officiating: Rev. Donald Molumby. Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Wessington. Pallbearers: John Hoffmann, Lyle Resel, Eben "Buzz" Noyes, Roger Grogan, Dick Sorensen and Delton Prentice. Arrangements: Kuhler Funeral Home, Huron, SD.
