Survivors are: his wife, Cherie; sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd W. and Susan Wagnitz of Grand Island and Keith B. and Kayla Wagnitz of Brady; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Mike Wolf of Eustis and Janell and Larry Welborn of Omaha; sister, Rosella Rask of Minden grandchildren, Sara Rohren and husband, Cory, Rachel Wagnitz and fiance, Chase Burgess, Matthew Wagnitz, Cassandra Wolf, Michael and Melissa Welborn, Keith R. Wagnitz and fiance, Ashley Schelling, and Kevin, Brittanie, Brian, Robert, Annabell, Samaantha, Cherakey and Mavrik Wagnitz; great-grandchildren, Katrina Wolf, Emily Robinson, Ethan, Aidan, Braxton, and Ray-Lynn Wagnitz and Chyanne Hernandez, Corey Bunger; aunt, Helen Roach of Norton, Kan. and a host of friends and relatives. Wag grew up in Hurdsfield and received his education at a country school there. He entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and served until 1954 during the Korean War. On Sept. 30, 1956, he married Cherie Livingston in Gibbon. They lived in Eustis, where he was employed by Monroe Auto Equipment. They also lived in Minden and Cozad, where he was employed by Miller the Driller and Francis Schneider. Wag was a member of the Eustis United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working in the yard, wood crafts, working with his hands, flowers, farm life, country music and playing the Social Security board game. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Lena Wagnitz; brothers-in-law, Milton Rask and George W. Livingston; and father and mother-in-law, George G. and Viola Livingston.
