Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, October 18, 1906; pg. 1 Dick Bargen and wife are rejoicing over the advent into their home Wednesday, of a fine new boy baby. ================================ The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, February 1, 1973 Lloyd Eilert Bargen was born at Nelson, Nebraska on October 17, 1906, the son of Dietrick H. and Effie DeMilt Bargen and died unexpectedly at his home in Nelson on January 26, 1973, at the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 9 days. His entire lifetime was spent in Nuckolls County where he was engaged in farming most of his life. He received his education in the Independence School near his parents' home and in Nelson High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. On November 28, 1947, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Gingrich at Aurora. They have made their home in Nelson. Lloyd was a member of the American Legion Post in Nelson and was just elected Commander of the Post. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Superior and the Chamber of Commerce in Nelson. His parents preceded him in death. Those who survive are his wife, Evelyn; their daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Sally) Banks of Superior; two brothers, Chester and James of Nelson; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Yost of Joplin, Missouri and Mrs. Dorothy Higby of Aurora, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren; 5 nephews and 3 nieces. Funeral services were held Monday, January 29, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. from the Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson, Nebraska. The Reverend Victor Schwarz officiated and burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. John Todd, Jim Young, Fredo Bergman, Lee Clabaugh, LaVerne Clabaugh and Jack Wehrman were casket bearers. Klawitter Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. ================================================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, February 1, 1973 A life-time Nuckolls County resident, Lloyd E. Bargen, died unexpectedly at his home in Nelson Friday, Jan. 26, at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 9 days. Funeral services were conducted from the Klawitter Funeral Home at Nelson Monday afternoon. Clergyman was the Rev. Victor Schwarz and interment was in the Nelson Cemetery. Lloyd E. Bargen was born at Nelson, Neb., on Oct. 17, 1906, the son of Dietrick M. & Effie DeMilt (sic) Bargen. His entire lifetime was in Nuckolls County where he was engaged in farming most of his life.
