Description	:	Lloyd J. "Pinky" Wieser, of Grand Island, NE., died Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Grand Island (NE.) Veterans Home. Pinky was born December 23, 1925, near Wolbach, NE., to Loyd M. and Bessie E. (Elliott) Wieser. Pinky grew up near Wolbach, NE. entered the US Navy on April 17, 1947 in Hastings, NE. and was honorably discharged on February 24, 1950. Pinky married Joanne Borre Kamper and to this union son, Lynn Jay Wieser was born. He then married Patricia A. Whitney in October 1954 and divorced in October 1982. Pinky was born December 23, 1925, near Wolbach, NE., to Loyd M. and Bessie E. (Elliott) Wieser. Pinky grew up near Wolbach, NE. entered the US Navy on April 17, 1947 in Hastings, NE. and was honorably discharged on February 24, 1950. Pinky married Joanne Borre Kamper and to this union son, Lynn Jay Wieser was born. He then married Patricia A. Whitney in October 1954 and divorced in October 1982. They owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Gothenburg, NE. After the sale of the business, he spent time riding his motorcycle and flying their Piper Warrior. He lived in his motor home in Texas and, until last year, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, when poor health brought him back to Nebraska. He lived at the Nebraska Veterans Home the past four months. Survivors are: brother, Wayne Wieser of Shelton, NE.; guardian, Pat Wieser of Grand Island; and several nieces and nephews. Pinky was preceded in death by: son, PGC Lynn Jay Wieser (Vietnam 1969); sisters, Velda Christensen and Shirley Goehring; brothers, Darwin and Melvin Wieser and parents.
