Mr. Rue was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Sheyenne, N.D., where he grew up and attended school. He married Diana Hanson on Nov. 19, 1963, in Devils Lake, N.D. He worked for various farmers and also for Rockford Oil in New Rockford. He was a heavy equipment operator and had worked for Archie Campbell Construction and Bill Linderman Construction, building many North Dakota highways, including Interstate 29 and the McClusky Canal. Mr. Rue was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Sheyenne, N.D., where he grew up and attended school. He married Diana Hanson on Nov. 19, 1963, in Devils Lake, N.D. He worked for various farmers and also for Rockford Oil in New Rockford. He was a heavy equipment operator and had worked for Archie Campbell Construction and Bill Linderman Construction, building many North Dakota highways, including Interstate 29 and the McClusky Canal. He then worked as head custodian of New Rockford Central Public School for several years. He became owner and operator of Rue Dragline in the early 1980s. He also worked for Park Construction, ICS and Rue Construction. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Mark (Pamela), David, both New Rockford; a daughter, Rachael Vetsch, New Rockford; eight brothers, Owen (Terry), Lake Havasu, Ariz., Eugene (Nellie), Roseburg, Ore., Glenn, Sheyenne, LeRoy (Carol), DelNorte, Colo., Roger (Pat), Cottage Grove, Ore., Larry (Sara), Marvin (Betty), both Eugene, Ore., Dale, Monte Vista, Colo.; six sisters, Arlene (DuWaine) Hanson, Cottage Grove, Delaine (Clifford) Transue, Judy (Steve) Kethcart, both Eugene, Beverly (Bob) Cruz, Orange, Calif., Helen (James) Wagner, Napoleon, N.D., Sharon (Mack) Pennington, Myrtle Creek, Ore.; and six grandchildren. Visitation: Today from 9 to noon in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford. Funeral: Today at 2 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Rockford. Burial: Grandfield Lutheran Church Cemetery near Sheyenne.
