Read More	*************************************** Lloyd L. Sack, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sack, was born at Ord, Nebraska on February 6, 1921. His death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on April 16, 1979 at the age of 58 years 2 months and 10 days. He spent his childhood in Ord and was educated in the Ord Public Schools where he graduated from High School. He then, attended the University of Nebraska for one year. Following his year at the University, he attended the Lincoln Aviation and Flying School. On October 21, 1942 he entered the services of the United States Army Air Force and served until his discharge on April 3, 1946. He was united in marriage to Marian Hohbein on May 9, 1943 at Beatrice, Nebraska. Two sons were born to them. They made their home near the bases where he was stationed, and after his discharge, they came to Aurora where he served as manager for the Sack, Lumber Company. Marian preceded him in death on October 8, 1958. Lloyd was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, Nebraska. Also, the Lester S. Harter Post No. 42 of the American Legion; Aurora Lodge No. 68, A.F. & A.M.; Royal Arch Masons at Central City; the York Rite Masons and the Tehemah Temple of the Shrine at Hastings and the Aurora Chapter No. 93 Order of the Eastern Star. Lloyd had also been active in community affairs, having served with the Cub Scouts, the Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the Aurora Rotary Club and served for twenty five years on the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department and served as President, Assistant Chief and Fire Chief of the Department. On December 30, 1962 he was married to Sarah Goble at Beatrice. They made their home in Aurora. Lloyd managed the Lumber Yard until about 1971, when his health failed and he turned the management over to his eldest son, William, but continued to assist in the Yard. His survivors include his wife, Sarah; two sons, William of Aurora and Steven of Central City; three daughters, Kathy Pollard of North Platte, Patty Goble of Omaha and Debra Israelson of Omaha; his parents; Mr. and Mrs. William Sack of Ord; one brother, Harold of Crete; one sister, Virginia Ham of Topeka, Kansas; four granddaughters and other relatives and many close friends who will cherish his memory.
