Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Blome, Ted Bohstedt, Raymond Rohrer, Joe Wentland, Charlie Baestle and William Stevens, all of Victor. The Cecil Schraders and the Ervin Edwards were in charge of the flowers. Lloyd Lester McBride, was born in Marengo, Oct. 16, 1912, the son of Ray and Susie (Rohrer) McBride. He attended rural schools in Warren township and graduated from the Victor public high school in 1929. His marriage to Margaret Casey took place in Tama Dec. 8, 1945. He was engaged in farming northwest of Victor from 1922 until 1979 when they moved to Victor. McBride was a member of the Victor United Methodist Church and he served as Warren township clerk for several years. He was on the Poweshiek county Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation service board for nine years. Survivors are his wife, one son, Marc, Toledo, a daughter, Marcia (Mrs. Dennis) Brooks, Batavia; and five grandchildren, Mike, Matt and Craig McBride and Lisa and Heather Brooks. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margery Johnson.
