Funeral services were conducted January 29 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo with Father John Smith officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Lloyd Kjelland was born April 27, 1909 in Valley City and attended schools there. He worked for Valley City Grocery until moving to Fargo in 1942. He married Edna Amundson in 1930 in Valley City. He married Edna Amundson in 1930 in Valley City. Mrs. Kjelland died in 1968. He worked for Red Owl in Fargo as a supervisor in the warehouse division for over 30 years, before retiring in 1974. He married Sally Wimmer January 6, 1973 in Fargo and they have lived there since. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the Eagles. Survivors include his wife, Sally; one son, Richard, Grand Forks; two stepsons, Ray Amundson, Great Falls, MT; and Aubrey Amundson, Chicago IL; six brothers, Earling of Chicago; Dr. George, Mineral Point WI; Roy of Darby, MT; Selmer, Valley City; and Walter and Chester, both of Fargo; one sister, Mrs. Joe (Irene) Diemert, LaMoure; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
