Mr. Jenkins was born in Cherokee County, a son of the late Zeb and Mary E. Huskins Jenkins. He was a member of the Willow Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a deacon and pianist. He was a former pastor for Miracle Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church. He had been employed as a truck driver for Florence School District 1. Read More	Lloyd Jenkins FLORENCE — Lloyd Richard Roosevelt Jenkins, 73, of Florence died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in a Florence medical facility after an illness. Mr. Jenkins was born in Cherokee County, a son of the late Zeb and Mary E. Huskins Jenkins. He was a member of the Willow Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a deacon and pianist. He was a former pastor for Miracle Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church. He had been employed as a truck driver for Florence School District 1. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vonnie Mae Smith Jenkins, a sister and seven brothers. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Lavone Stone Jenkins of the home; a son, Richard S. (Ruby J.) Jenkins of Florence; a daughter, Temple Evon Jenkins of Florence; a stepdaughter, Eyvette (Christopher) Poston of Georgetown; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to McLeod Hospice, 555 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29506.
