Description	:	Mr. Lloyd Wesley Johnston Sr., 76, died Thursday, June 26, 2003. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mr. Johnston, a Pitt County native and lifelong resident of Greenville, graduated from Pactolus High School. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mr. Johnston, a Pitt County native and lifelong resident of Greenville, graduated from Pactolus High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. In 1965 he received his B.A. degree from the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tenn., and in 1968 received his master's degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. For a number of years, he was employed with various Christian Day Schools in several locations as a principal an d teacher. He had served as pastor of Five Points Free Will Baptist Church in the Pinetown community of Beaufort County and was later employed with the American Red Cross for a number of years. He later retired from Pitt County as a mail clerk. He was a member of Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his wives, Virginia Stancill Johnston in 1980, and Irene Forbes Johnston in 1990; his father, Wesley L. Johnston in 1981; a sister, Marie J. Poston in 1997; and a brother, W. Henry Johnston in 2002. Surviving are his son, Lloyd W. Johnston Jr. and his wife, Debbie Johnston of Greenville ; two grandchildren, Rebecca Johnston Flowers and husband, Paul Flowers, and Brad Johnston and wife, Amanda G. Johnston,all of Greenville; mother, Hallie Teel Johnston of Greenville; two sisters, Peggy J. Hill of Richmond, Va., and Shirley J. Wilborne of Danville, Va.; two brother s, John L. Johnston of South Boston, Va., and Bruce E. Johnston of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church,2241 Old Pactolus Road , Greenville, N.C. 27834.
