Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Epworth. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 3 p.m., and a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 4 p.m. Mrs. Scherbring worked at the Dyersville Progress and later at LeRoy's Pizza. She was born on Feb. 24, 1954, in Cascade, daughter of Sylvester and Marie (Lehman) Steffen. She married Frank Scherbring on Aug. 5, 1989, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Marian prayer group. She had a great love for her dog, Snuggles, and spent many hours playing the organ. Surviving are her husband, Frank; a sister, Norma Jean (Dale "Louie") Kean, of Cascade; two brothers, Lloyd (Jane) Steffen, of Dubuque, and Loras (Wendy) Steffen, of Coralville; 12 nieces and nephews; a number of great-nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Dorothy (Delbert) Burkle and Tom (Diane) Scherbring, both of Dyersville, and Alice (Harold) Schilling, of Colesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Marie; a brother, Robert, on May 8, 1967; and her grandparents, Paul and Anna Lehman and Clem and Catherine Steffen.
