She grew up and received her education in Ida County, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On March 21, 1948, Lois was united in marriage to Charles Hillmann at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ida County. The couple was blessed with five children: Eugene, Dennis, LaVonne, Cindy, and David. Lois was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove. Survivors include her husband, Charles; four children, Eugene (Lynn) Hillmann of Elko, NV, LaVonne Stover and fiancé Jeff Buria, Cindy Lorenzen of Ida Grove, and David (Becky) Hillmann of Milton, WI; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Howard Raymer of Downey, CA; and a brother-in-law, Robert Mohr of Cushing. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Donna Hillmann; a great-grandchild, Jett Lorenzen; a brother, Kenneth Raymer; and two sisters, Iola Wilson and Hazel Mohr.
