Page..5~B LOIS E. {BIGLEY) JARNAGIN Des Moines, Iowa LOIS E. {BIGLEY} JARNAGIN, 81, passed away over to the Lord, peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Iles Funeral Homes- Dunn's Chapel. A 1 p.m. graveside service will follow at LEON CEMETERY, in Leon, Decatur County, Iowa. LOIS was born in Leon, Iowa, on October 27, 1926, to Curt and Elsie BIGLEY. LOIS was a born entertainer. She started singing as a child, and continued blessing people with her beautiful voice, right up to and including the last day of her life. LOIS led a very colorful life. In her earlier years, she was a disc jockey in Illinois and worked in various night clubs in Kansas City as lead vocalist. Also working in Rock Island, Illinois, singing lead for the STARLIGHTERS on television. She was a member of the Professional Musicians and Entertainers Club of Iowa for many years. Many weekends you could hear her at Prairie Meadows, Des Moines, Iowa, singing with the CONRAD JOHNS GROUP. LOIS was a wonderful mother of three girls. Her girls always came first, instilling in them the importance of family and good work ethics. She was so pleased that her family all lived close. She was a great cook and loved animals, especially dogs. She had a wonderful sense of humor, an enormous heart and touched many lives in her 81 years. LOIS was a member of Park Avenue Christian Church, Des Moines, Iowa, for years. The last three and a half years of her life, she was a resident of Fleur Heights Care Center, singing there every chance she could. Everyone knew LOIS, and her little stuffed dog "Bussie." LOIS will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but will be in our hearts forever. LOIS was preceded in death by: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HER PARENTS; SISTER, Dolores Maxine COX; and NEPHEW, James "Butch" COX. ********** Those left to honor her memory are: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HER DAUGHTERS, Sherri (Richard) DOWNS; Becky (Rick) VENN; and Christine GILES; all of Des Moines, Iowa; EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN; THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; and A HOST OF OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. *********** The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2008, at Dunn's Chapel.
