Description	:	Lois Elaine (Anderson) Malmstrom Brasch, daughter of Mauritz and Ethel (Anderson) Anderson, was born August 6, 1920, near Bristow, Nebraska. Lois died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Wausa. Lois grew up with three sisters on the family farm near Bristow, and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bristow. She graduated from Bristow High School, and attended Luther College Normal School in Wahoo, Nebraska. Lois moved to the Wausa, Nebraska area, and taught in a one room school. Read More	Lois Elaine (Anderson) Malmstrom Brasch, daughter of Mauritz and Ethel (Anderson) Anderson, was born August 6, 1920, near Bristow, Nebraska. Lois died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Wausa. Lois grew up with three sisters on the family farm near Bristow, and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bristow. She graduated from Bristow High School, and attended Luther College Normal School in Wahoo, Nebraska. Lois moved to the Wausa, Nebraska area, and taught in a one room school. While teaching at that rural school, she met Willard Malmstrom, whom she married in 1942. Lois and Willard farmed for many years and raised three daughters on the family farm. She was active in a county extension club, neighborhood activities, 4-H, school activities, baking, sewing, and operating the farm. In 1990, Lois and Willard retired and moved into Wausa. Following Willard's death in 1992, Lois became active in the Thabor Lutheran Church Choir, WELCA women's group, volunteered as the church librarian for many years, and assisted with the quilting group. In 1996, Lois married Harry Brasch of Wausa. In her later years, Lois spent many hours making quilts which she gave as gifts, that are still treasured by the entire family. Lois is survived by: daughters, Joyce (Dan) Wieneke of Lincoln, Nebraska, LaJean (Tim) Anderson of Wausa, and Cheryl Malmstrom of Wausa; step-children, Minehart (Karen) Brasch of Harlan, Iowa, Marvin Brasch of Elisabeth, Colorado, Keith (Imogene) Brasch of Wayne, Nebraska, and Lois (Jim) Stanfield of Auburn, California; grandchildren, David Dalton, Becky (Corey) Dahl, Mike (Camille) Dalton, Doug (Adria) Anderson, and Brian (Kristy) Anderson; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carole Sieborg of Omaha, Nebraska, and Doris Amanna of Boulder, Colorado; and extended family, as well as many friends. Lois was preceded in death by: parents, Mauritz and Ethel; first husband, Willard Malmstrom; second husband, Harry Brasch (who died December 22, 2011); sister, Phyllis Anderson; and brother, Elwin Anderson, at age three. Lois touched the hearts of those she met with her happy outlook and willingness to do for others. We love you Mom, Sis, Me-My, Grandma Cookie, Friend.
