Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. A memorial has been established in her memory. Lois Elaine Koppenhaver was born March 21, 1933, in Newport, the daughter of Donald Everette and Della Marie (Tenley) Koppenhaver. She attended Martelle School. She married Elmer Stolte on October 15, 1950, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stanwood. Together they farmed southeast of Martelle. Elmer preceded her in death on October 22, 1995. She was a member of the Martelle United Methodist Church, where she served as the co-chair of the Methodist Women for several years. She enjoyed country, gospel and bluegrass music and a good joke to make her laugh. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by five daughters, Carmen (Daryl) Brennaman of Lisbon, Marlynn (Joseph) Fogg of Tipton, Judy (Craig) Faust of Coggon, Nancy (Richard) Hughes of Vinton, and Teresa (Ricky Joe) Conley of Monona; one son, Dale (Sarah) Stolte of Springville; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (Margaret) Koppenhaver of Mt Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two infant sons, Ernest and Alan Stolte, two sons-in-law, Kent Woods and Ronald Parker and two sisters, Helen Nielson and Doris Ingels.
