She was born March 18, 1921, in rural Geneseo, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest Droegemeier and Nell (Milbradt) Droegemeier. Lois began her life in Geneseo, and attended Geneseo High School and graduated in 1939. To this union four children were born,... Read More	Lois Evelyn (Droegemeier) Boy, of Syracuse, Kansas, passed away at Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune, on June 4, 2018, at the age of 97. She was born March 18, 1921, in rural Geneseo, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest Droegemeier and Nell (Milbradt) Droegemeier. Lois began her life in Geneseo, and attended Geneseo High School and graduated in 1939. She went on to further her education attending Kansas State College and earning a Bachelor’s Degree and graduated in 1943. On May 21, 1944 she married Gordon Frank Boy in Frederick, Kansas. To this union four children were born, Terry, Beth, Margo, and Grace. In 1947, she moved to Syracuse where she began teaching at the Syracuse High School in 1962. She taught Home-Ec and Study Hall for 20 years. She was also very active as an farm wife and taking care of her families needs. On April 2011, she moved to the Seasons Of Life Living Center and later to the Greeley County Long Term Care due to her health, and resided there until her passing. She was very active and instrumental in the First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 20 years. She was a 4-H Leader assisting kids with their projects every year during the fair. She enjoyed in her younger years square dancing, sewing, quilting, traveling to foreign countries, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by: Father: Ernest Droegemeier Mother: Nell (Milbradt) Droegemeier Spouse: Gordon Frank Boy 2 Brothers: Ernest Droegemeier Lynn Droegemeier Daughter: Beth Graham She is survived by: Son: Terry (& wife Aggie) Boy of Syracuse, KS Son In Law: John Graham of Halstead, KS 2 Daughters: Margo (& husband Tom) Uehling of Germantown, TN Grace (& husband Dave) Donecker of Garden City, KS 9 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren And many family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 8, 2018, at 10:00 AM (MDT) at the First United Methodist Church, in Syracuse, KS. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, KS.
