Description	:	Lois Rudow, 86, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at home. Lois was born February 14, 1927, to Elmer and Hannah Triebold in Valley City, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Valley City High School. On June 6, 1948 she married Donald Rudow. The couple remained in Valley City while Don attended college and Lois worked as a bank teller. Read More	Lois Rudow, 86, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at home. Lois was born February 14, 1927, to Elmer and Hannah Triebold in Valley City, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Valley City High School. On June 6, 1948 she married Donald Rudow. The couple remained in Valley City while Don attended college and Lois worked as a bank teller. They moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota, where Don earned his Master of Education degree, then lived in Hankinson, North Dakota and Ulen, Minnesota briefly before settling down in Fertile, where they lived and worked for 40 years and raised their family. Lois worked as a secretary for Concordia Lutheran Church and sorted mail at the local post office. In their younger years, Don and Lois loved to dance, play cards, go fishing and tend their garden together. In 2000, the couple moved to Alexandria to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Don passed away in 2007. Family was important to Lois. She enjoyed attending her grandsons' concerts and sporting events, never missed a birthday celebration, and looked forward to any family get-togethers. Lois' greatest loves and concerns were always for her family. Lois was an active member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting with the Calvary Lutheran Church ladies. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Roy) Snyder of Columbia Heights and Diane (Kyle) Pearson of Alexandria; grandsons, Evan Pearson, Derek Pearson and Bryant Pearson; brother, Eugene (Arlene) Triebold; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roland Triebold, and nephew, Ronald Triebold. A memorial service was held Monday, July 1 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria with the Rev. Greg Billberg officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery in Valley City, North Dakota.
