Lois was employed at the ND State Hospital, Montgomery Ward Store, Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a Lifetime member of North Dakota Peace Officers Assoc. Lois enjoyed reading, oil painting, volunteering, family and especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Steven Petersen; brother, Dale Ketelsen; sister, Kay Deuitch; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one daughter, Joan and one son, Richard. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Erik Weber, officiating.
