Jeanie was a loving wife to her husband, Merrill Helmer Klundt, devoted mother to Marla Jean Liquin (residing in heaven), Becky (Don) Berglund, Sherry (Dave) Lohman, Gary (Chris) Caldwell, and Doug (Carla) Caldwell. Jeanie was strong, independent, and persistent; doing the best with what she had, beginning very early in her life. She had an ornery, playful side; which most likely aided her survival on life’s bumpy journey. She was hopeful, daring, believing in second chances, seeking the full hidden potential with hard work and determination, polishing until the vision emerged. She knew a thing or two about creation and the joy of giving while making masterpieces of her own; cabbage patch dolls, flamingos, refinished hoosiers, embroidered dish towels, baked goods (cakes, cookies, pies, bread); all these, not for herself, but for sharing with family, neighbors, church family, and friends. Jeanie was a beautiful woman and appreciated beauty. She loved the beauty of the garden, the cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and berries. She may have loved those as much as she loved her flowers. She loved beautiful clothes and jewelry. She loved beautiful weather and birds….not cats so much. She loved babies. She loved her babies, her grand and great grandbabies…. And dancing…I don’t know---did she ever take a lesson in dancing or did it just come naturally to her? Doesn’t matter, really, does it? Jeanie and Merrill knew how to dance---together. Dance partners, in sync, a few sacred steps. Watch, hear now--the true debut is just beginning.
