Description	:	SABETHA -- Lois Joyce Warrick, 97, died Tuesday (Oct. 26, 1999) at Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha. She was the mother of Oth E. Warrick of Newton. She was born Dec. 7, 1901, in DuBois, Neb., to Robert and Effie (Brown) Turner. She married Oth Warrick April 1920, at Presbyterian Manse in Bern. He preceded her in death. Read More	SABETHA -- Lois Joyce Warrick, 97, died Tuesday (Oct. 26, 1999) at Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha. She was the mother of Oth E. Warrick of Newton. She was born Dec. 7, 1901, in DuBois, Neb., to Robert and Effie (Brown) Turner. She married Oth Warrick April 1920, at Presbyterian Manse in Bern. He preceded her in death. Lois attended grade school in DuBois, and graduated from Pawnee City High School, known as the Academy in Pawnee City in 1919. She received a teaching certificate and taught at Rural District No. 72 in Pawnee County near DuBois. She and her husband moved to Bern and Oneida area where they farmed until retiring to live in Sabetha. She was a member of Bern United Methodist Church and enjoyed many activities. She also was a member of an extension club, Retired Teachers Organization and Order of the Eastern Star, Sapphire Chapter No. 348. She did volunteer work at Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha. Survivors include: three daughters, Joyce Plattner and Mary Plattner, both of Sabetha and Gwen Sausser of Pawnee City, Neb.; one brother, Richard Turner of Pratt; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son, Robert Warrick; and one sister, Ruth Monroe. Funeral services were Saturday at Bern United Methodist Church in Bern with the Rev. Arlie Persell officiating. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery north of Sabetha. Memorials have been established with Bern United Methodist Church and Apostolic Christian Home in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia St., Sabetha KS 66534.
