Description	:	Lois L Ness, age 76, a former Clemons resident died Monday, March 25 at the State Center Manor. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Clemons United Church of Christ. The Rev Harry Lake officiated. Burial will follow in the Clemons Cemetery. She was born March 27, 1919 in Clemons, the daughter of Byron E and Ruby Wantz McKelvey. On March 29, 1937, in Marshalltown she was united in marriage to Ernest Ness and he preceded her in death in November of 1974. She is survived by a daughter Charlene Havens of Ames. She was born March 27, 1919 in Clemons, the daughter of Byron E and Ruby Wantz McKelvey. There are eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also surviving. Mrs Ness was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, one grandchild, one step brothers and one step sister. Reared and educated in Clemons she attended school there. Following their marriage they lived in Marshalltown for a short time later moving to Clemons where she lived until ill health forced her to move to the State Center Manor in 1986. She attended the Clemons United Church of Christ. March 28, 1996 State Center Enterprise.
