Martens, 52, died Sunday at her home from unknown causes and Dr. Einer Juel, county medical examiner, was called to investigate the death. Lois D. Martens, daughter of Harry and Daisy Brown Moore, was born at Sheldon, Missouri, May 16, 1911 and moved with her parents to a farm near Wiota in 1918, graduating from the Wiota high school in 1930. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran church near Wiota and was married to John D. Martens in Omaha, February 22, 1933. They farmed in the Cumberland vicinity until moving to Cumberland in 1950. Surviving beside her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Nichols of Atlantic; her mother, Mrs. Harry Moore of Atlantic; two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. B. R. Becker of Salina, Kansas and Mrs. John B. Jipsen of Wiota. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Evangelical Lutheran church and the casket will not be opened after the services. Relatives will meet friends at Hodges funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. taken from the funeral home to the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Contributor: JSC (47288119
