Scott. *********************** Ft. Scott Tribune Monitor LOIS LEONA JONES Mrs. Lois Leona Jones, 45, wife of C. E. Jones, rural mail carrier and a resident of Uniontown for 21 years, died last evening at 5:15 while enroute to the Main Street hospital. Death is attributed to high blood pressure. She had been ill for several months and was dismissed from the hospital in July. Surviving are the husband, and two sons, Charles L. Jones of Uniontown and Robert G. Jones of the U.S. navy at Jacksonville, Fla., who is enroute here. Two grandchildren also survive as do three sisters, Mrs. Opal Hill of Manhattan, Kans., Mrs. Edna Mahoney of Haviland, Kansas, Mrs. Ida Hazelton of Los Angeles and the parents. The father L. R. Brown resides in Fort Scott. Mrs. Jones was born in Redfield, Dec. 1, 1901. She was married to C. E. Jones in this city on Dec. 6, 1920. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors lodge. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church at Uniontown with the Rev. Charles Wogan officiating. Interment will be in Uniontown cemetery. ********************* DEATH OF GRANDDAUGHTER Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Newcomb were shocked to receive word of the sudden death of their granddaughter, Mrs. Lois Jones, at Uniontown Friday afternoon. She had been seriously ill but had returned to her home in July and seemed to be getting well. Mr. and Mrs. Newcomb attended the funeral at Uniontown Methodist church on Monday afternoon. ************************
